City of Southaven SCADA SYSTEM

The experienced staff of Gaines, Williams & Associates developed a conceptual plan for the Southaven Utility Divisions SCADA needs. The project has progressed through several phases which included the upgrade of four (4) Water Treatment Plants, monitoring of six (6) Elevated Water Tanks and monitoring of ten (10) Wastewater Lift Stations. Services included design development, construction management, FCC licensing, radio site survey, programming and startup of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based process control system, development of Human-Machine Interface operator interface, database development for historical data collection, alarm notification/annunciation software configuration and network design. Project included in plant Process Ethernet LAN, radio communications to remote tank and lift station sites, primary high-speed VPN communication network between Water Treatment Plants and secondary radio communications between Water Treatment Plants, .
