Gaines, Williams and Associates (GWA) was founded in 2005 by Robert Gaines and Brooks Williams as a firm whose goal is to exceed client expectations on every project. GWA provides clients with personalized service, responding to their needs in a timely manner with solutions that satisfy the project requirements within budget. GWA specializes in the design, integration, commissioning and validation of automation systems. Robert S. Gaines, P.E.
President
Mr. Gaines has over twenty years experience in the design of instrumentation/control and mechanical systems for clients in a variety of industries including pharmaceutical manufacturing, food/beverage, chemical processing, water/wastewater and general manufacturing. He has provided initial design concept, final design, project management, estimating, scheduling, purchasing, installation, control system programming/operator interface development, startup/commissioning, validation, operator/maintenance training and troubleshooting. Utilizing a strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA guidelines he provides clients with systems that help them comply with regulatory requirements. Robert is a 1987 graduate of the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in the states of Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri.
Brooks Williams
Vice-President
Mr. Williams has over twelve years experience in industrial controls and data collection. For over three years, he was the Allen-Bradley PLC product manager for the local distributor and provided assistance to the mid-south industrial market in design, programming, installation, startup, troubleshooting and training. While working for an automotive conveyor OEM, he provided system design, panel layout, bill of material, panel fabrication, installation, startup and troubleshooting, training, and as-built electrical maintenance manuals. Mr. Williams’ experience includes the design and integration of a control systems for manufacturing, food/beverage, petro-chemical, water/waste water, and automotive. Mr. Williams is a 1994 graduate of the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional, Rockwell Software Certified Automation Specialist and Omron Certified Trainer.
